PEMS for Flares: Obtain accurate emissions data and achieve compliance with international regulations

WS.PEMSWS.PEMS

The flare model in WS.PEMS relies on the physical relations between measured fuel flow rate, calculated air flow rates, wind speed and the flare gas composition or density.

What you receive

PEMS for Flares: Obtain accurate emissions data and achieve compliance with international regulations

First Principle Model

The model takes into consideration the flow pattern through the flare tip and how it is influenced by the above conditions. In practice, baseline emission factors are used at reference condition and corrected in relation to actual operating parameters.

Compliance

Since the number of available input values does not allow for full data reconciliation, the flare PEMS does not qualify as a full PEMS model according to US EPA Performance specifications and others. The expected accuracy is also expected to be lower than a full PEMS model, but significantly better than simple emission factors that does not consider the effect of the actual operation variation. Our flar model is also compliant with OGMP 2.0 level 4 requirements.

The Path Forward

Get comparable and actionable data from all your flares and other emission sources and use the data to optimize your flare operation and reduce emissions.
